Every one of our students has achieved at least one qualification and at the highest levels 59% of our Year 11 students have achieved an A or A*. The results were good across all curriculum areas, reflecting the commitment and hard work of both staff and students. This is a really good day of celebration for Calder High and I know the staff and students will be delighted. “
School starts again for students on Tuesday 6 September.

Cormac O’ Neill attained an A* in this project.
Headteacher Carol Spillane said “These are an extremely pleasing set of results, a fitting testimony to the grit and determination of our Year 13 students, and the expertise and hard work of our staff. There have been some terrific performances here and I am delighted for the students and for the staff
who taught them.”
AS results were also very pleasing and bode well for next year. Director of Post 16 learning Mike Howard said, “I was delighted with the A2 results for the year 13s, but there have also been some superb AS performances from Year 12 students, most notably from Ffion Atkinson who got four As, Alex Thomas, Nia Jackson-Owens and Lawrence Pardoe who attained two As and two Bs and Tom Stamp who completed five AS subjects! The results reflect the hard work and commitment shown by students in Calder VI.”
