GCSE Results 2016

Calder High School is proud to report our best ever GCSE results following this years summer examinations.

Students secured a significant improvement in the number of students who achieved 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and Maths, with nearly three quarters of students achieving this high standard.

This year we have seen increased numbers of students achieve straight A* and A grades and 100% of students achieving at least 5 A*-G grades.

We are very proud of all of our students who have shown a real commitment to their studies making the most of all the opportunities that our staff offered to ensure academic success at this crucial stage in their education. These excellent results are testament to the hard work of all of our students, the staff and parents who have worked together and achieved great things.

With improvements at A level and now record GCSE results, we have seen increased uptake of places at Calder VI and look forward to working with our students as they continue with the next stage of their education at Calder High. It is not too late to secure a place at Calder VI and any students who wish to join us in September can contact Mrs K. Wilson, Director of Calder VI to arrange an interview before Year 12 start their new term on Thursday 8 September.
