Calder High School PTA is a newly formed group, and we are looking for more enthusiastic parents and carers who want to get involved in supporting the school and their children. Our main aim is to raise additional funds to enhance school development and the day to day experience of its students. We aim to do this through social events that families can enjoy. We also hope to generate the support of and donations from the local community! We regularly talk to students and staff about our fundraising plans. Our first target is to help provide more facilities in the outside yards at breaktime - we are looking at goalposts, benches, tables and other outdoor activities that will improve the yard environment.
We welcome all suggestions for activities and how we can support the school from parents and carers, so please get in touch.

Parent Voice - The CHS PTA is always looking for ways that it can best support the experience students have at Calder High School, both in and out of lessons. With this in mind, we would be most grateful if you could complete the short survey, linked below, by Tuesday 24th October.

Family fun - the PTA will be running its first social event in school on Friday 10th November (7.00 - 9.30pm), a Thai curry and Race Night. It should be a really good event - tickets are now available on ParentPay at the cost of £5 per person, so please do come along with your family and friends if you can. Tickets won't be available on the night for those wishing to eat.
Next meeting - the next PTA meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday 7th November at Parkinson Lane Primary School at 6pm. It would be great if you could make it!
