Olympics Gymnastics: Qualifying event at the Greenwich Arena
 A group of 48 students and staff from primary and secondary schools are travelling to London for the ‘London Prepares Olympic Gymnastics qualifier at Greenwich Arena on 18 January. This fantastic opportunity offers them the chance to watch world class gymnasts competing in the rhythmic individual and group finals at a pre-Olympic venue. Students will witness Olympic hopefuls perform routines in the hoop, ball, clubs and ribbons.Tickets were very difficult to obtain and it was only in the second round of ticket sales, just before Christmas, that we managed to secure tickets.This will be an inspirational trip of a lifetime for all students, some of whom have attended the Calder High School Gym Club for many years.
