- Royal blue jumper, including the school badge
- Tie (clip-on preferred): silver/royal blue for KS3)
- White shirt
- Black school skirt (pleated from the hip)
- Black school trousers (tailored)
- Optional outer garment (reversible)
- Hijab (black)
- Shoes: plain black school shoes (not trainers)
The school uniform is available from our normal suppliers: Shaw Hardcastle (Halifax) and Valet Stores (Hebden Bridge). Both suppliers will be able to offer the full range of uniform items but there may be some variation in prices. Clearly, items such as the white shirt, black skirt and black trousers may be sourced more economically from local superstores etc.

Additional Guidelines:
Black School skirt: this should be a sensible length, approximately knee length. Very short, long or tight skirts are not acceptable.
Black School Trousers (tailored): these should be plain black. Tight fitting, ski type trousers, combats, varieties of leggings, jeans and wide bottomed flares are not acceptable.
Optional Outer Garment (reversible): Fleece/waterproof fleece in black/navy.
Plain Black Shoes: Plain black sensible footwear, with black laces and maximum heel height of 2.5”. No platforms, high heels, mules, flip flops or fashion boots allowed. All footwear must also be safe and suitable for school. (No stripes or logos).
Anything not stated in the uniform list above is not allowed: eg fashion belts.
Hair colouring
Where hair is dyed, the colour must be within the normal range of natural hair colours and restricted to one colour. If unsure, check with your Year Achievement Leader before making any changes.
Jewellery must be kept to a minimum and school cannot be responsible for breakages or loss. One small ear stud may be worn in each ear. No other facial jewellery is allowed(including tongue studs).
Make up: No make up to be worn in Years 7 and 8.

PE tops, as modelled here from left to right:
Calder High tee shirt, multi-sports outdoor shirt for boys (optional for girls), Calder High fleece - outdoor top for girls (not suitable for rugby or football. Other PE kit items: Calder High navy blue shorts, navy and royal blue hooped football socks.

| Essential Equipment for Lessons |

Students are expected to have the following with them for every lesson:
- A suitable bag for books
- Pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, student planner and the correct books
- A Modern Foreign Language Dictionary
- A calculator
- Specialist items as required for specific lessons (PE/Dance/Technology/Art)
